SMS Terms
Version 2026-09-08.4
Haddee Education, LLC | tutoring.haddee.com
Effective date: September 8, 2026
These SMS Terms explain Haddee's text messaging program for adult Educators, including Teachers and Coaches, on tutoring.haddee.com. They describe the messages you can request, how to enroll, and how to stop them. Recurring text alerts are optional. This program does not send marketing messages or messages to Students.
1 Who may participate
The program is for Educators aged 18 or older with an eligible mobile number. You must be the subscriber or customary user authorized to consent to messages at that number. Do not enroll another person's number without authority. Participation is available only where Haddee supports messaging and can lawfully provide it.
You may use the tutoring Service and teach without subscribing to recurring text alerts. Consent to these alerts is not a condition of a purchase, educator engagement, or payment. In-app and email notices remain available. A requested phone-verification code is separate from recurring-alert enrollment, as explained below.
2 Program messages and sender
The program is called Haddee Tutoring Educator Alerts. Haddee Education, LLC sends messages through Twilio using the Haddee toll-free sending number displayed in the message and in Educator notification settings. Our customer-support telephone number in Section 11 is not necessarily the SMS sending number; send SMS keywords to the number that sent the message.
After you opt in, recurring alerts cover Session bookings and confirmations, booking requests awaiting your response, and cancellations, including a consolidated cancellation notice when a Student closes an account with upcoming Sessions. Payout confirmations are a separate optional category, off until you select it. We also send an enrollment confirmation and may send the confirmation or help responses described below.
This program does not include Session reminders, no-show inquiries, appeal decisions, advertisements, promotional offers, or Student-facing texts. Enrollment does not authorize marketing texts, automated voice calls, or messages from another business. We will obtain any new consent required before expanding the purposes of the program.
3 Requested verification codes
When you ask Haddee to text a verification code through a clearly disclosed verification step, you authorize the code needed for that request at the number you provide. We do not send a code merely because a number appears in a profile or has been entered without a request to send it. A new request or requested retry may result in another code, subject to security limits.
Requesting, receiving, or entering a code verifies access to a number; it does not enroll you in recurring alerts or authorize marketing. A provider or carrier block may prevent a code from arriving. Contact hello@haddee.com for verification assistance if you cannot receive texts. We do not use verification messages to bypass an opt-out.
4 Enrolling and choosing alerts
To enroll, verify your number and affirmatively select and submit the separate SMS consent control in Educator onboarding or notification settings. The disclosure identifies Haddee, the message purposes, variable frequency, possible carrier charges, and how to opt out or obtain help, with links to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. The recurring-alert control is optional and is not selected for you.
By submitting that control, you authorize Haddee to send the described recurring account and transactional texts, including texts sent using automated technology, to your verified number. Your choice and the disclosure you accepted are recorded. Merely accepting the User Terms or Educator Agreement, providing a number, or verifying it does not establish recurring SMS consent.
Initial enrollment enables booking, booking-request, and cancellation alerts. You may adjust available categories in notification settings. Payout alerts require your additional selection. Disabling a category stops that category; turning all recurring alerts off withdraws consent to recurring alerts. We do not turn alerts back on merely because you sign in, change another setting, or continue teaching.
5 Frequency and charges
Message frequency varies with your bookings, requests, cancellations, and selected payout alerts. There is no fixed weekly or monthly number. Verification codes depend on your requests. Haddee may limit messages to prevent excessive or duplicate notifications.
Message and data rates may apply. Haddee does not charge a separate SMS fee. Your carrier may charge for messages you send or receive and for data used to open links, according to your plan. Contact your carrier about its charges.
6 Stopping texts
Reply STOP to the sending number to unsubscribe. You may also use STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPT OUT, or other language that reasonably communicates that you want texts to stop. Keywords are not the only way to withdraw consent. You may turn off recurring alerts in notification settings, email hello@haddee.com, call +1-858-449-9689, or use another reasonable method to reach Haddee. For an email or telephone request, provide the mobile number to be stopped so we can identify it; no account login, fee, or special form is required.
We act on opt-outs promptly. Automated STOP requests are blocked upon processing. Other reasonable requests are honored as soon as practicable, within any shorter applicable deadline and no later than 10 business days after receipt. This is an outside limit, not a waiting period for continuing messages. We stop pending messages within our control when the request is processed.
A general request to stop texts applies to all texts from this Haddee tutoring program. STOP may also create a provider or carrier block affecting verification codes from the same sending number or messaging service. Turning a setting on cannot override that block. A request limited to one recurring category does not authorize messages outside your remaining consent.
You may receive one nonpromotional confirmation of your opt-out, ordinarily within five minutes. It will not ask you to buy anything or require another step to complete your opt-out. We do not send further program texts without a new valid request or renewed consent, subject to the provider or carrier block. A message already transmitted may arrive late; that does not restore consent.
Stopping texts does not close your account, cancel a Session, change your payout entitlement, or unsubscribe you from email. Use the Service to manage bookings and follow applicable email unsubscribe controls for optional email. Contact support if you receive unwanted texts after opting out.
7 Help and restarting
Reply HELP to the sending number for assistance, or contact hello@haddee.com or +1-858-449-9689. A carrier block may prevent a HELP reply from reaching you, so email and telephone support remain available. Asking for help does not enroll you in recurring alerts.
To restart after STOP, review the current enrollment disclosure in notification settings and make a fresh affirmative choice to receive the described messages. You may also need to reply START or UNSTOP to the same toll-free number to remove the provider or carrier block. Sending YES alone may not remove a toll-free block. Removing a delivery block alone does not authorize new message categories or replace the required enrollment consent. Contact support if you need assistance; we will not restart alerts solely because you asked a question or unblocked a number.
8 Number changes and delivery
Tell us promptly if you change, transfer, or stop using your number, and remove or update it in your account. A replacement number must be verified and enrolled separately. We do not treat a previous subscriber's consent as consent from a new owner of the number. If you receive a message intended for someone else, reply STOP or contact support.
SMS delivery depends on your carrier, device, coverage, and other service providers. Messages may be delayed, blocked, or undelivered, and some carriers or numbers may not be supported. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes Haddee's own legal obligations or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Check your account and email for booking and payment information; SMS is not an emergency service.
9 Privacy and security
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and privacy requests. We use your mobile number, consent records, preferences, messages, and delivery information to provide, secure, support, and document the SMS program and honor opt-outs. Retention is limited by our disclosed purposes and applicable law; we may retain a limited suppression record to avoid texting you again.
We do not sell or rent mobile numbers or SMS consent records. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their own use. We may provide necessary information to Twilio, carriers, and service providers solely to operate and support messaging on our behalf, subject to applicable safeguards, or disclose information when legally required. No other general sharing provision authorizes sharing SMS consent for another party's marketing.
Texts may appear on a device's lock screen and are not a secure channel for sensitive records. Do not text payment-card information, passwords, verification codes, or sensitive Student information to support. Use the secure account features or contact us for an appropriate channel. Acceptance of these SMS Terms is not blanket consent to unrelated data processing.
10 Changes and other agreements
We may revise these SMS Terms by posting an updated effective date and providing notice of material changes through an appropriate channel. Changes apply prospectively and do not revive withdrawn consent. We obtain new consent where required for changed messaging purposes. We may suspend or end the program, subject to applicable law, without changing earned compensation or other existing rights.
These SMS Terms supplement the User Terms of Service and Educator Agreement that you validly accepted. These SMS Terms control a conflict about SMS consent, preferences, or opt-out procedures. The Educator Agreement continues to govern educator services, compensation, and applicable dispute procedures. SMS enrollment creates no separate arbitration agreement, class-action waiver, indemnity, or waiver of rights under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, California law, or other mandatory law. The Privacy Policy remains a privacy notice, not a substitute for required consent.
